Science teacher excellent gisl school in camden
** Science GCSE and A level – Camden
** Excellent All Girls School
** High achieving – 80% A-C GCSE's
** Permanent or long term supply
Are you a qualified Science and preferably Chemistry teacher that's looking for a fresh and exciting new challenge to start the academic year?
Would you relish the chance to teach polite motivated students at GCSE and A level in one of London's best performing all girls state schools located in the trendy suburb of Camden, North London.
Due to a late resignation a vacancy has arisen for a committed and creative teacher to join a team of 8 teachers and 3 technicians in this thriving and prolific science faculty.
You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 to 5 which will include mixed ability sets in year 7-9 and streamed classes for GCSE and A level. The school is open to applications from Biologists but they would prefer a teacher specialising in Chemistry or Physics. The school has a good results at all Key Stages with 80% of students achieving 5 or more A-C's last year and 75% achieving A-C in Science itself. The 6th form is "particularly effective" (OFSTED 2007) with over 250 on the roll and Sciences are fairly popular at A level with a full class for each. Although this is a central London school it has very low levels of EAL and SEN.
As a specialist Technology College the school is extremely well equipped and the Science faculty has interactive whiteboards in each laboratory to assist you in delivering creative and interactive lessons that will ensure all students maximise their learning.
