Geography teachers and hods all areas

A very popular and oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school based in Essex are looking to recruit a teacher of Geography or Head of Geography.
This position is a permanent role due to start September 2008.
This is a highly successful school that regularly achieves over 70% A-C grades and enjoys excellent liaisons with parents and the local community.
The school has nearly 1500 pupils and 245 Sixth Formers. They were awarded specialist status for Performing Arts.
The school has recently had a new Technology and English block built, a new sports hall and refurbishment to the existing common room and classrooms.
The Humanities Skill Area consists of 13 members of staff, involved in the teaching of History, Geography, RE, Sociology and Law and Psychology.
The Humanities area is very popular in the school with virtually all College A Level students taking at least one Humanities subject. In the Lower College subjects have between one and three AS Level groups.
