Hv shift leader

Ref: GUM/9119/FH
Salary: GBP35,000
My client currently provides an M&E; and Fabric team to respond to site activities to include PPM/reactive and project works. The role of the Shift Leader is to lead a shift in the process of undertaking PPM's and reactive tasks in a safe efficient manner with the focus on the Critical Environmental Management framework.
Main Job Purpose
·To provide engineering service to include maintenance, reactive and project works inline with CEM.
·To support the PME delivery of service and their Management through a team you will control in developing engineering services to a high standard of CEM.
Key Objectives
·Ensure your shift, and the day team are controlled the work and sub-contract staff conduct maintenance activities correctly and in accordance with all statutory Health & Safety, local site procedures.
·Ensure maintenance activities are completed within agreed timescales.
·Liaise with client representatives with respect to maintenance and repair activities when necessary.
·Prepare and take responsibility for permit-to-work forms for issue to the client and sub-contract staff
·Carry out isolation of plant and system in accordance with site safety regulations and on site procedures. Controlling access of Critical areas of the Clients business
·To conduct quality checks on completed works.
·To keep the clients Senior management information of all plant failure which affect the site operation?
·To monitor the BMS for running and alarm conditions.
·To optimise the use of staff in response to repair.
·To co-ordinate all staff in response to emergencies outside normal hours in accordance with site procedures.
·To provide holiday and sickness cover as required during periods of absence of other team members.
·To undertake maintenance tasks as necessary.
·To maintain a record of all activities during your hours of duty.
·To record all defects found as a result of maintenance activities, and responsibility of closing defects.
·Management of resource and prioritising work, ensuring PPM's and Reactive are returned for close off.
·To participate in an out of hours emergency call out rota and be flexible in covering shifts that may need coverage for absence etc.
·In addition to the above duties you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by the the clients management team.
knowledge, skills & qualifications required
·Demonstrable evidence of Technical position at similar level
·AP15 and HV experience
·Relevant trade certification with the level of this job description.
Attributes
·To be able to provide clear and precise Communication to the Client and team where necessary.
·To be able to demonstrate sound technical competency.
·Ability to learn systems quickly, and implement and improve if deemed necessary.
·Understanding of clients environment and act accordingly.
·Good team leader.
A Working Shift Pattern to include days and nights.
Participate in an Out of Hours Call Out Rota.
Overtime would be expected to be undetaken when the role dictates.
