Technician technical assistant for historic and new-build mi
Would you like to help re-design the area where the titanic was built? How about convert listed mills? – this role offers both for a technical assistant .
COMPANY:
Small practice with a good size open plan and informal office, who have been working for 30 years
Mixture of repeat client and fresh clients from fresh interiors to renovations and new-builds
Allow good involvement in schemes and produce well designed projects
They work on commercial, residential, ecclesiastical, office and technological schemes
Very close to tube and train stations so ideal commute from most of London as centrally based
ROLE:
You will have the opportunity to work on 2 completely different sites. One is a large site with large listed mills that is GBP120 million scheme and has reached phase 3 and so will be a mixture of residential, office and hotel areas combining modern style with historic elements. This will involve translating design ideas and measurements onto CAD, coming up with solution amendments and developing final ideas. The second scheme is in early design stages and is a large master-plan of which they are focusing on a residential element. This site is where the Titanic was built so again good historic importance linked with modern functionality.
SKILLS:
* Competent in AutoCAD with speed and accuracy
* Revit skills would be ideal though not essential
* Residential or mixed-use schemes experience required
* Good construction understanding and technical detailing would allow you a real variety of tasks in the office
* General arrangements – plans, sections and elevations will be required
* Capable of planning applications for various schemes
* Enjoy working in a smaller team and being adaptable
* Able to multi-task as you may have simultaneous projects
