Team Leader Motor Claims Job in London

JOB TITLE: Team Leader – Motor Claims
LOCATION: Kent
REPORTING TO: Manager
SALARY: GBP25,000

A vacancy has arisen for a Team Leader to join the Motor Claims team to ensure the timely and cost effective results through the effective management of people and processes and the achievement of agreed service standards and cost targets.

MAIN DUTIES:
Role holders are likely to be providing team management in non technical areas ensuring that required customer service levels and expectation are met.
Alternatively they may be undertaking a number of key activities in the specialist area or acting as a senior team member under the overall direction of a more experienced manager.
Role holders work primarily on the implementation of agreed activities/initiatives and will have clear objectives and deliverables.
Role holders will provide advice on agreed policy areas, and will provide advice and guidance to their team/less experienced members in order to resolve non-routine matters, and will keep their manager informed of any particular complex cases.
Individuals will manage end-to-end initiatives and/or support their manager in undertaking delegated tasks.
Role holders will manage standard initiatives or implementation of straightforward change to policy or advice from end to end ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality/regulatory standards.
Individuals will be responsible for ensuring that they are well informed in their area of expertise and may support the larger claims initiatives.
Role holders may have responsibility for leading a team (usually comprising around 8-10 Advisers) and developing individual team members where relevant or a caseload of more complex claims
ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS:
Individuals will normally have either potential for people management or proven competence in technical claims handling.
Role holders will have the ability to manage and develop others, and provide advice and guidance in their specialist field.
Role holders will have good interpersonal skills in order to be able to work with business customers and communicate messages to resolve
