Artworker Mac Operator Job in London
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
+ To liaise with the Studio Manager, Creative Services, Creatives and Client Services on all Western Union specific artwork deliverables
+ To produce artwork using licensed industry standard software including Quark, Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CS2 including:
o starter kits, press adverts, posters, flyers, invites, brochures, large format graphics, branded giveaways and any ad hoc items as directed by the Account Team
o help to co-ordinate, with company Creative Services external service providers, such as photographers, photo libraries, typesetters, printers, illustrators, direct mailing houses, translation houses
o identifying critical timing paths for all internally and externally produced material and relaying that information to internal stakeholders
+ To ensure and maintain the highest quality of studio service to internal stakeholders and Western Union at all times
+ To maintain and adhere to company processes and procedures to ensure all projects are kept to time and within budget and communicated to interested parties.
+ To manage trafficking of Western Union projects and provide input into estimating and budgeting as and when directed by the company
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ensure all internal procedures are followed to facilitate information share and provision
of a studio brief for dissemination by internal stakeholders and external clients
2. Multitask several projects at any one time supporting Creative and Creative Services
staff at all stages of the studio process
3. Plan, alongside the Studio Manager and Creative Services Manager the available
resource on a daily, weekly, monthly and wherever possible quarterly/yearly basis
4. Provide studio guidance for all internal stakeholders and Western Union personnel
5. Provide effective delivery of printed media programmes and to input upon the strategy in development of Western Union's communication programmes via attendance at brainstorming and kick off meetings
6. Liaise with external suppliers as and when necessary to ensure deliverables meet with the objectives
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Evidence of extensive experience working in a comparable role, including a broad range of marketing and communication skills
2. Ability to relate to key client personnel in a professional and credible fashion, as well as well developed personnel skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of staff
3. Knowledge of Font libraries, Flight check programmes, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Indesign, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office (powerpoint/word/excel et al.) necessary
4. Knowledge of litho, screen and digital print output and production, technical and IT solutions wherever relevant
5. A highly organised person with procedural experience
6. Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries
7. Ability to work on own initiative
