We are hostelmania.com, a newly re-launched online hostel booking website. We are based in Piccadilly, which is obviously a really nice area to work in, and we're a nice, friendly bunch who like to eat chocolate and cake and go out for drinks. Go and check us out: the site has been looking this shiny and pretty since December 2007 and we're constantly expanding and developing it. Unfortunately this means that our Senior Web Developer is run off his feet, and it's about time he had a little help. And that's where you come in.
You
We're looking for an experienced C#, ASP.Net Web Developer with a solid track record; we're looking for about 3 years experience. You'll also need strong experience in the following (brace yourself ):
- Object Orientated Programming
- VB.Net
- C# (NET 2.0/3.0)
- ASP.Net
- AJAX.Net
- SQL 2005
- Web Services
- JavaScript
- HTML/CSS
Programming and any experience of Cruise Control, Subversion, FX Cop etc is also advantageous.
The Role
Here's an overview of what you'll be up to: Working on the Tech Team with the Senior Developer, you'll be responsible for all levels and aspects of technical development. You'll most likely be thrown in completely at the deep end, working on our largest development projects, developing and enhancing ongoing marketing campaigns, developing new applications, analysing problems, and maintaining/supporting existing applications. Apart from that, there's the day-to-day running, management and development of the database and website in general. In short, it's a full, busy and varied role, and a great opportunity for your own professional development with plenty of on-the-job training from the Senior Developer.
