Buyer - Retail Job in London

Our client is a successful company specialising in retail products, part of a major group they are looking for someone with specific retail product buying experience ether at Assistant Buyer or Buyer level to join their expanding purchasing division.

Buyer
Principal responsibilities are:
*To source product from UK and international suppliers.
*To negotiate terms and conditions of supply with suppliers.
*To develop and introduce new product categories and ranges.
*Reporting to the Head of Buying
*To be involved in product selection.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
*At least 2 years' demonstrated experience as a buyer, with specific retail product buying experience (homeware products/non-food would be an advantage). Or 5 years assistant buying experience within retail or mail order
*Excellent communication and commercial skills.
*A high level of numeracy as well as exceptional excel skills.
*The drive and ability to cope with the pressures of a fast growing entrepreneurial company.
*Must be a team player with excellent time management skills.
