Electrical Project Manager (Rail) - Elstree
Salary: 50,000 + Package
Due to expansion we are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to join this provider who major infrastructure projects and programmes in the utilities, rail and renewable energy markets covering gas, water, communications, power, rail, mechanical and electrical services.

You will be joining the rail division to develop and manage a team capable of successfully estimating, planning and executing a varying number of technically diverse projects within the working railway environment.
Typical Duties include:
Represent the company at internal meetings and meetings with clients and other bodies
Implementation and management of company, Network Rail and LUL standards and procedures where applicable
Establish and manage operational systems and procedures associated with the project
Perform regular site safety tours and inspections and ensure construction managers and supervisors undertake safety tours in accordance with the safety tour schedule
Produce, review and authorise Method Statements, work plans, H&S plans, Risk Assessments and environmental plans
Review and authorise drawings, designs and specifications
Ensure all H&S requirements pertinent to the project are in place and ensure all staff employed on the project have received instructions in their obligations under the necessary legislation
Receive, analyse and distribute details of new/changing railway group and line standards, other legislation and good practice
Identify and put together the delivery team required for the project and brief out the responsibilities to meet the project requirements
Ensure compliance with relevant Contract Specification, Network Rail Group and Line standards
Responsible for monthly financial project reviews and profit/loss accounts
Work with Commercial Manager and Operations/Contract Manager to agree resource requirements and outputs, and assisting in bid preparation
Accepting commercial responsibility for supply contracts, procurement of goods and services
Management and development of delivery team members to ensure compliance with their roles and responsibilities

Knowledge and Key skills
A proven commercially aware manager with contracting experience within the rail industry and having an electrical background
Must be fully aware of Railway Group Standards, Network Rail Company Standards, CDM Regulations and LUL Standards (where applicable)
Have experience of financial, commercial and contractual issues during the last 5 years
Must be able to develop and manage a team
Able to professionally represent the company at the highest level
