Our teams of engineers work in UK offices in Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Newcastle - with Australian offices in Melbourne and Sydney.

We are currently looking for a Civils Associate. The ideal candidate will ideally possess general infrastructure experience. In addition, some environmental and master-planning experience and a broad interest in the urban environment and sustainable development would be preferable.


This role represents an important development from one exclusively responsible for technical engineering and design work into one that starts to take on the wider issues of business management.


Associates will typically take responsibility for management of people, client and commercial issues as required by the Project Leader role. In this capacity you will represent my client internally and externally on behalf of your Group.


The role will include running a team of people within the Group as well as leading single and multi-discipline projects on behalf of the group (operating as Job or Project Leader as appropriate), prepare and take responsibility for project engineering solutions for detail design and prepare Technical Specifications and check work/specifications of subordinates. The role seeker would be able to demonstrate their development of client relationships and secure repeat work where possible in addition to actively seeking new work from existing clients. The candidate would be required to prepare Financial and Technical proposals and review job financial performance and adjust resources accordingly.
