Microbiology
Permanent BMS1 position.
Prime London location with salary ranging GBP26-30k depending on experience.
Duties include;
Putting up samples (urines, swabs, stool specimens, miscellaneous samples).
Reading culture plates, interpreting culture results and carrying out appropriate antibiotic sensitivites.
Performing PCR testing on samples requiring investigation for MRSA.
Using the BacT/Alert and Vitek 2 analysers.
Authorising and reporting results to clinicians.
Assisting clinicians with the interpretation of results.
Participating in the training of new members of staff
