System engineer for internet startup

Demotix is a citizen journalism news service. The site will be allow
users to upload photos, stories, and video clips and share the value
created by sales through traditional news channels. The 1.0 release of
the Demotix website is in beta and a number of high profile
international newspapers and news sites have already signed up to
distribute content.
We are currently looking for a systems engineer to oversee the
outsourced development of the 1.1 and 2.0 of the coding for the website
and the architecture of our site as it grows. We're looking for someone creative who loves freedom of speech and civil society.
Requirements:
- Experience leading a team as a technical architect and systems
designer
- A desire to apply rigorous software engineering principles to your
code, for example using design patterns in OO development, MVC design,
unit testing, test driven development (agile methodologies).
- Proficient in object-oriented PHP
- Proficient in cross-browser object-oriented Javascript -Knowledge of
closures, event objects, interactive Javascript
-Some knowledge of Javascript libraries like Prototype or JQuery
- You will have 5 or more years commercial experience, with degree/or
equivalent in computer science.
Pluses:
-Knowledge of the dojo framework for Javascript
-Exp. with the Symfony framework for PHP
