Religious education and advanced level philosophy and ethics

An excellent school located near London Bridge is looking to appoint a teacher of religious education with an A-Level timetable of philosophy and ethics on a permanent basis from September 2008.
The school performs well in terms of academic achievement (82% A*-C grades at GCSE last year) and pupil behaviour at the school tends to be good.
The school is well facilitated and was recently judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in almost all categories.
The school provides an excellent environment within which to work. Colleagues are friendly and sociable and the Senior Management Team is experienced, approachable and supportive. Teacher retention at the school is high mainly because of the schools ethos, organisation and structure. This school has improved year on year and become a true success story which is reflected in the students' attitude and the academic results the school is now producing.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach religious education across the Key Stages and philosophy and ethics at A-level standard.
