The Organisation:
SHARE Community is a medium sized charity based in south London providing holistic vocational training and employment advice to disabled people, people with long term health problems and people with mental health problems.
The Roles:
You will be working within a small team of Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) and employment advisors providing employment support and IAG advice to a variety of adults.
These posts are based at our fast track centre in Brixton which is for people from across London who take part in training funded by various public bodies, including the European Social Fund (via London Councils).
We are looking for both a part-time worker (2 days/14 hours per week) and a full time worker (5 days/35 hours per week). The salary is GBP24,655 pro rata and we offer 30 days of holiday (pro rata), a 3% pension contribution and access to an Employee Assistance Helpline as well as a great atmosphere and dedicated team to work alongside.
Skills & Experience Required:
We are looking for an advisor with a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Advice & Guidance who has good experience of working as an employment guidance officer helping to integrate disadvantaged/disabled people into the labour market.
Ideally you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, empathise and relate positively and in a non-discriminatory way to disabled people from a range of backgrounds and communities. Alongside this, you will be organised, an excellent manager of your time with the ability to explain things simply and clearly.
