Company Info:
Formed in the early 1980s this practice is now a company with a proven track record employing in excess of 35 people. The practice are based in Surrey, but are easily commutable with a direct train from station such as Clapham. The office is also very close to the station itself. Services are;
Architecture, Project management, Interior design, 3D visualisation
Projects undertaken range from highly serviced multi-million pound research facilities to university library refurbishments and clients include Aventis and the British Heart Foundation.
Projects undertaken have incorporated both general laboratories and specialist laboratories. The general laboratory types include: analytical chemistry and teaching laboratories. In all over 600 research facility projects have been completed successfully.
Hotels, sports and leisure facilities including bars and restaurants have also been designed.
The role:
The workload means the practice can offer a long contract. There are several projects requiring a new person with a mix of commercial projects, including research facilities for pharmaceutical companies, and office buildings. One fishery is at the feasibility stage on an interesting site, another project is at stage D, so a mix of options
The practice have a reputation for technical excellence, so you will be employed to show how you can turn design aspirations into practical spaces that work
You will need;
Design and technical skills
Technical flair as projects lean this way
You will need AutoCAD skills
Technical expertise
Office/commercial experience necessary
Healthcare/laboratory experience would be great as this is a large part of the project types
UK experience is essential for this post
Prior project architect experience
What you will get:
This practice is based in Surrey, but easy to get to from Clapham/Victoria/Wimbledon and other stations with a direct train, so often quicker than getting into central London.
You will be working in a pleasant office, very close to the station. Long contract which is rare with current market with permanent possibilities in the future
