Admin Assistant Required in London

Very small office. The opening is for an Admin Assistant. We'll start at £9/hr or maybe more if you've got a good resume. We are generous with raises; you won’t be at £9 for long if you’re capable of handling the workflow. It can be a mentally challenging environment and you will need to work hard. We will expect you to carry out a skill test before hiring to prove you can cope with the work.
Duties
You will be handling incoming and outgoing paperwork, Topping and tailing the work that our accountants prepare, and posting and filing the results. You will be assisting in our marketing efforts and reminding staff members of outstanding tasks. The job also involves clerical and filing duties as well as archiving client data.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* scan and photocopy incoming data and file results
* photocopy completed tax documents, package, and arrange delivery to clients
* scan older files and file results
Additional Tasks and Responsibilities
* answer phones and Fend off sales calls
* handle incoming mail and other material
* read boss’s emails daily and sort out for other people to answer.
* when boss is away from office, answer all boss’s emails personally.
* maintain filing systems
* add to scanned document archives
* prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and documents
* maintain schedules and calendars
* arrange and confirm appointments
* maintain databases
* communicate verbally and in writing to answer enquiries and provide information
* liaison with internal and external contacts
* coordinate the flow of information both internally and externally
* operate office equipment (scanners, printers, postage meter; resolving beeping red light issues)
* prepare client informational packs for sending to new clients, and follow up with calls.
* marketing follow through tasks – cold calling potential clients on database marketing list
Education and experience
* knowledge and experience of relevant software applications - MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, and Google
* knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
* excellent in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
* proven experience of producing correspondence and documents
* proven experience in information and communication management
* 50 WPM typing speed or better.
* prior experience in a legal or accounting office helpful but not required.
