Kimchee as a brand has expanded with the opening of our 180 cover restaurant in Pancras Square. We're looking for an Assistant General Manager for our restaurant in Holborn, who wants to be part of our company's growth and is keen to take on the opportunity to develop themselves.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant General Manager to join our growing team in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the smooth running of the day to day management of the restaurant.
• To ensure customers receive the highest standard of service and complaint are handled accordingly.
• To continuously work towards improving sales and service with a great eye for detail.
• Staff management including shift planning, updating relevant systems, recruitment, training and development.
• Managing the performance of the team through on-going evaluations, listening, training and mentoring.
• To control stock levels, minimise the risk or damage or loss and ensure stock checks are made and recorded at regular intervals.
• Understanding reports regarding cost control and expenditure alongside revenue.
• Take an active role in financial and budget management including forecasting and forward planning.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and the kitchen team to ensure the appropriate standards are being meet.
• Ensuring a good knowledge of the food and kitchen areas to assist with maintaining high-level of food quality.
• Ensuring high levels of Food and Health and Safety are maintained at all times.

Our Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to coach, manage and mentor a team.
• A sound understanding of budgeting, forecasting and labour control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding problem solving and organisational skills.
• Hardworking and self-motivated with excellent leadership skills.
• Good working knowledge of general computer systems.
• A strong understanding of Food, Health and Safety.
