Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Caretaker to join our team in Thamesmead. The successful applicant will join us on a full time permanent  basis and will receive a competitive salary of £18,564 per annum.
The Caretaker role:
To provide a high quality and effective caretaking, cleaning and minor repairs service for tenants and residents living in Peabody properties and estates. As our Caretaker you will join our team of highly motivated and dedicated Caretakers based at Thamesmead. Looking after all aspects of the communal areas of buildings allocated to you, keeping them clean and free from hazards for our residents, leaseholders and visitors.
Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Caretaker:
Essential:
- UK Driver’s License essential
- A good standard of basic literacy skills.
- A good standard of communications skills.
- General practical skills
- Health and Safety awareness
- Aware of importance of good standards of appearance / presentation.
Desirable:
- experience of cleaning
- experience of providing a service to and liaising with the public.
- Possesses knowledge of COSHH
- Aware of importance of lone working precautions.
- Full UK Driving Licence
