Customer Liaison Manager Job

We are looking for a very customer focused liaison manager, and individual that will be the face of our business to our customers. The role will require you to lead all customer contact into our head office, engage in customer enquiries, contracts and accounts and take responsibility for customer transactions and their experience with us. Lead the customer journey and represent our brand at a high level.
The role also requires office management skills and you will deal with various individuals in the business. Our view is that this role will develop and in time you will need to have ability to manage a new team under you.

Our business:
Tom Hixson founded the company over 40 years ago. He was the son of a Walworth butcher and came from a family who had been involved in the meat trade for generations. Having started in 1935, his 70 years’ work in the business ensured this tradition continues to this day.
In the early days, he fondly remembered the market as a ‘wonderland’ of produce, he discussed how meats from around the world arrived by horse and cart then later by rail. In 1963 he founded Tom Hixson of Smithfield and by 1983 he was head of the Smithfield Tenancy Association as well as the Botswana Meat Federation. He had become a pioneer of the meat industry. His expertise was well known and the British Library organised an interview with him to find out the secrets to his success.
The honesty, passion and drive shown by Tom has filtered through to the third generation and those involved today. The wealth of expertise and experience gathered over the years means we deliver unrivalled quality and service.
You will need to:
- Have experience in dealing with customers on the phone
- Manage customer accounts, orders and contracts
- Be naturally driven to grow business
- Have office management experience and be the go to person for the senior team
- Be a natural problem solver and lead from the front
- Manage a new team as your role develops
- Be meticulous in office administration
- Be well versed in using customer management software.
