Junior Demand Planner - FMCG

A quirky FMCG company is looking for a creative, go-getting and industrious Junior Demand Planner for one of their offices based in London. This is an all-encompassing role eventually being responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Acting as a Junior Demand Planner you will learn how to create and maintain forecast models for customers, from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts and other sources. You will act as an integral part of the team, liaising with sales and the commercial side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Learn to develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time zones as part of a demand planning function.
* Review sales trends, research demand instigators, write up forecast data, develop and maintain statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
* Conduct cross-functional research research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect model to reflect updated sales and marketing influences.
* Work with sales, marketing, and customer finance to grasp demand forecast drivers.
* Maintain information on SAP

Key Skills:

* Graduate calibre
* A strong understanding of Manufacturing or FMCG supply chain with at least 3 years + FMCG supply chain experience.
* Experienced MS Office Skills is essential, particularly use of Excel to an advanced level.
* You will need to be comfortable analysing large amounts of data and able to communicate this effectively to all levels.
* Previous use of demand forecasting systems would be an advantage.
* Proactive worker with a positive attitude.
* Strong attention to detail
