Facilities Assistant Apprentice Vacancy

As a facilities assistant with Second Home, you will be overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our Second Home sites.
We are a creative work space and cultural venue, bringing together diverse industries, disciplines and types of social businesses.
Entry requirements:
Minimum grade C-A* in five GCSE, including Maths and English (or Functional Skills level 2 in both).
You will also have good knowledge of IT including all Microsoft packages. Ideally, we are looking for recent school leavers and non-graduates for the role.
This is a Business Administration level 3 apprenticeship, training and qualification will be delivered by White Hat.
Location: London Spitalfields Responsibilities:
1. Pro-actively identify and tackle defects/issues around the facility, paying attention to function, appearance, member experience and safety.
2. Always have the member’s best interest at heart by making sure all of our facilities work well.
3. Develop and maintain logs of facilities issues and work with the General Manager and wider team to identify priority actions.
4. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure that scheduled and responsive maintenance is carried out to the appropriate standard, and that design and member experience considerations are addressed as part of all works.
5. Develop a good knowledge of the operational/safety systems and compliance requirements of the building and assist in embedding these into team operations.
6. Setup and maintenance of each floors; get Stuck in with repairing chairs or lamps if needed.
7. Lead on running the post room to ensure all outgoing and incoming mail is organised, recorded and tracked.
8. Logging and reporting all technical faults and arranging all office equipment fixtures and fittings.
9. Carrying out periodic health and safety checks.
10. IT troubleshooting responsibilities such as printer, laptop setup, internet connection queries.
Hours: 9am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week. We are looking for somebody 18 years and over because of the hours.

1. Proven experience in similar facilities role
2. Interest or experience with IT related troubleshooting queries
3. Strong administration skills, and confident using MS Office package, Gmail and Google App
