We are currently Recruiting for Production Operatives for our prestigious client based in Sutton.
Our client is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of various electrical equipment such as lighting units of various sizes and for various purposes in the U.K.
Responsibilities of Production Operatives.
To assist with the manufacture of all components to be used on the production line.
Drill and punch holes in metal, for Screws, bolts and rivets.
Trim, file, grind, Buff and smooth surfaces and joints using tools.
Maintain equipment
Shape metal using tools
Inspect individual parts
Keeping to Health and Safety guidelines
To assist with the paint spraying of all newly manufactured components.
Adhere to all company SOP's
Requirements of Production operatives.
Good level of both written and spoken English.
The ability to read and follow basic diagrams.
Good numeracy skills
Punctual
Be comfortable to use hand held tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters and crimping tools. And operate machinery when needed.
Ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
Candidates will need to undergo a practical suitability test.
This is an ongoing role, working times are Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 16:30 with daily and weekend overtime throughout busy periods. And a good opportunity to gain new skills within the workplace.
This role will be dealing with metal components so heavy lifting will be required.

Pay is the appropriate National Living Wages.
