Andrew has very recently turned 4; he is a handsome little boy with a cheeky smile. He is naturally very curious and loves nothing more than being in an open space where he is able to run, wonder and throw balls around. In November, he will be become a big brother beginning; mum is expecting a baby girl.
Andrew currently has a working diagnosis of autism, however he will be reassessed in November as he doesn’t quite fit this profile. He is a very sociable young boy, but has some developmental delays; making it hard to engage him in play or transition from one thing to another, for example leaving a playground. His speech is coming along very well and with the right support and strategies he will flourish. There is quite a way to go with toilet training so someone confident in this area is important.
The role will involve taking Andrew to nursery, assisting with some light housework (ironing or shopping) while he is at nursery and then arranging structured but fun activities for Andrew either out and about or at home. This job will suit someone who is fun, affectionate and doesn’t mind getting down on the floor, even if this means digging in mud!
This a great opportunity to support an extremely down to earth and warm family who are looking for additional support and guidance in helping their son develop further.
