Office Administrator Wanted in London

Posted: 34 days ago
Place: North West London, London

Office Administrator and People’s Champion
Hej! We’re Scandi Kitchen, we’re a café and deli – as well as an online shop and Scandinavian food wholesaler. We’ve been going for 10 years this summer and we are growing in several directions.
We have a great opening for an Office Administrator with customer service and eCommerce duties at our office in Park Royal (London NW10 7 QQ). This role will suit a bright and bubbly, friendly and enthusiastic person, who will take on all administrative support in the office as well as providing exceptional customer service on the phone and via email.
Tasks include (but are not limited to):
• Customer service: you will be our ‘People’s Champion’ – that means you will make life easier for our customers and always strive towards super happy customers. You will man the phones and emails and be the key contact for customer enquiries. You will keep the customer service logs and charts updated and help improve these as we go along. You will work closely with our Warehouse team and encourage smooth and efficient communication all round.
• Office Admin: you will assist with everything in office administration from office supplies, filing, maintaining H and S folders and some diary maintenance for managers.
• Database and information; you will enter new data correctly as per schedule into business software and assist our Marketing Martina with updates. You will also support the Sales and Warehouse teams in ensuring all paperwork is organised and ready.
• Online and Web: you will maintain and monitor product data and work closely with our Office Manager Roxanne to ensure orders move and help fix any issues, big and small.
• Help cover operational work during holidays and peak periods (this is hands on and we all chip in here to get the job done).
Must Haves:
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in office administration
• Excellent organisational skills
• Intermediate IT skills (particularly Excel is helpful)
• You are an excellent people person with a can-do attitude – and with a strong customer focus
• A great communicator – spoken and written (fluent English is essential, written and spoken)
• Self-starter and not scared of taking initiative
• Not afraid to get your hands dirty: if the team needs help, you’re there
• Proactive, hand-on approach – you get on with things, you have common sense
• Ability to liaise effectively in a team environment
• Permission to work and live in the UK and good spoken/written English.
Good to haves, but not essential:
• A Nordic language or knowledge of a Nordic language. Not essential, but a connection to the Nordics in some form is really helpful
• Driver’s licence (UK / EU)
The job is full time Monday to Friday (there will most likely be extra hours and days in late November and December as we are super busy).
It is immediate start, but as we are looking for the right person, we will keep advertising until we find The One.
Want to apply? Write a nice email with a cover note to Rebekka and tell us why you want to work with us. Please attach your CV too. Please note only applications with a cover note will get a reply.
