Reception Shift Leader at The Ned How The Ned Happened Taking over the City’s disused Midland Bank Building, Soho House and Co. And New York’s Sydell Group have collaborated to restore the beautiful Grade I listed building. Hosting 9 restaurants, bars, a member’s club, Barber and Parlour, Ned’s Club Active and Relax, two swimming pools, along with six dedicated event spaces. We’re building a great team, and everyone will have the opportunity to learn and grow their skills.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Receptionist to work as Shift Leader at The Ned. The role will be responsible for running the desk when on shift and supervising the team to ensure a seamless guest experience. The role is to assist the Front of House Manager in administering front office operations and supervising staff on a daily basis. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient arrival and departure process. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.If the above sounds like you and you have proven experience in delivering an amazing customer service, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:• Supervisor the Front of House team, mentoring and offering on-going support• On-board and train all new starters• Manage the desk whilst on shift• Deal with customer feedback and complaints• Effectively manage any special requests Essential Skills: • Current and/or previous experience as a Reception Supervisor or Assistant Front Office, or minimum 2 years in a busy, high-end environment managing a strong front of house team as a Receptionist• Exceptional English communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)• Have a genuine love for hospitality and for assisting guests• Have a positive and patient attitude• Able to work alone and within a team • Pro-active and reliable • Resolving guest challenges in a timely manner by conducting thorough research of the situation and applying the most effective resolution.
