We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join Transworld, a City Sprint company, based at their offices in Bermondsey, London. The purpose of this role is to manage the pricing and reporting of all Courier related services for the Group, in line with the agreed company targets.
As a Sales Ledger Assistant, you will ensure customers receive timely and accurate invoices, and that the associated reporting is presented clearly and consistently within the timescales agreed.You will also work effectively and cross-functionally with colleagues in other departments to ensure an excellent level of service to all customers, suppliers and employees.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the daily audit process to ensure accurate data entry and client references, identify queries and follow up accordingly.
* Pricing of all Courier related products for the Group, in line with the agreed procedures, liaise with other departments to ensure accuracy of billing, and escalate issues where appropriate.
* Ensure all Courier invoices are accurately raised and despatched within the agreed department target deadlines.
* Process all internal/external invoice/cost reports using the procedures agreed, within the agreed department deadlines.
* Respond to all internal/external queries/information requests professionally, promptly and accurately.
* Manage your individual e-mail folder within the Pricing group, ensure to monitor on a daily basis.
* Provide support to ensure all New Client Applications/Credit Requests are applied within the agreed SLA, with all details logged into Sage and onto the Control Sheet, and that correct process is followed in terms of authorisations.
* Providing and analysing information to internal and external parties as requested.
* Ensure all reporting is provided to deadline and is clearly and accurately presented.
* Update the Customer Query shared file, log issues correctly and review progress of outstanding items.
* Provide support and absence cover for other sections of the Finance and Administration Department as and when requested, but particularly for the Billing and Reporting.

Essential Criteria:
The ideal candidate will:
* experience within either the courier/logistics sector or a related industry in a Finance/Administration role
* Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point), Sage 50, Metacs
* Have a positive outlook, be driven and self-motivated, working with minimum supervision
* Be highly numerate
* Have excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form
* Happy to work independently and as part of a team with good time management and planning skills
* Have a problem solving attitude and relish the challenge that obstacles may present
* Bring energy and enthusiasm to the role
* Strong work ethic
* Flexibility
* Presents a well prepared and professional image at all times
