Trainee Fire Safety Engineer Needed

We are looking for aspiring TRAINEE FIRE SAFETY ENGINEER (s), 40 hours Per Week, Monday to Friday, to learn all aspects of fire safety with our team of skilled Engineers in the Southeast of the UK, including London.
Successful candidate(s) will undertake ongoing training and development in all aspects of Fire Safety including, Installing and Servicing Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Installation, Commissioning, Servicing and Remedials. Emergency Lighting Testing and Remedials, and AOV Maintenance, to enable you to reach your potential and achieve job satisfaction
What we are looking for in you:
• Good Time Management Skills – Punctually and ability to work to scheduled timelines is key
• Good Communication Skills – Both Written and Verbal
• Listening and Questioning – To make the most of your learning opportunities
• Customer Focused – To always put our customers’ safety needs first and offer a personal approach
• Have an acute attention to detail
• Flexible, Reliable and Hardworking – To be able to work as a part of a team and be readily available to support your colleagues where required
• Have a full clean UK Driving Licence (minor points maybe considered) and the ability to drive in congested areas such a London.
• GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
What you’re looking for in us:
• You will receive a Competitive Salary (OTE: £16,000 to £19,000 PA basic pay dependent on experience).

• Training includes:
o Internal training sessions where you will learn about and be hands on with a variety of equipment.
o External courses with the FIA to obtain formal qualifications and product training with Manufacturers such as Advance, Morley, Kentec and C-tec
o Job shadowing skilled Engineers where the real learning takes place
o Applying what you have learned under close supervision, with first hand support
o Competency based Assessments
• Successful candidates:
o Will undergo a strict Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
o Be required to provide right to work documents to demonstrate that they are eligible to work in the UK
o Form part of the On-Call Rota when scheduled as a part of their training and development
o Be subject to a probationary period.
